Modern Slavery Statement | RUMMY

Modern Slavery Statement

Our commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains

This statement covers the period from April 2024 to March 2025

Our Commitment

RUMMY is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in all aspects of our business and takes a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We are dedicated to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our own business or in any of our supply chains.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31 March 2025.

Our Business

RUMMY is a leading provider of premium sleep products and related services, including our innovative Pillow Refresh Programme. Our operations span design, manufacturing oversight, distribution, and direct-to-consumer sales through our website and partner retailers.

We operate primarily in the United Kingdom, with a global supply chain that includes manufacturers and material suppliers from various countries across Europe, Asia, and North America.

Our Supply Chains

Our supply chain includes raw material providers, manufacturing partners, logistics companies, and retail partners. The complexity of our supply chain creates potential risks of modern slavery, particularly in regions where labor standards may differ from those in the United Kingdom.

We have identified high-risk areas within our supply chain, including certain raw material sourcing and manufacturing locations, and have implemented targeted measures to address these risks.

Our Policies and Due Diligence

Code of Conduct

We have a comprehensive Code of Conduct that sets out our expectations for ethical behavior, including strict prohibitions on modern slavery, child labor, and forced labor.

Supplier Due Diligence

We conduct thorough due diligence on all new suppliers, including assessments of their labor practices and ethical standards before onboarding.

Regular Audits

We carry out regular audits of our key suppliers to ensure compliance with our ethical standards and legal requirements.

Training Programmes

Our employees involved in supply chain management receive regular training on identifying and addressing modern slavery risks.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation

We regularly assess potential risks of modern slavery within our supply chain, taking into account factors such as:

  • Country-specific risks and labor standards
  • Complexity of supply chains and sub-contracting practices
  • History of non-compliance with labor standards
  • Working conditions and wage levels

For identified risks, we implement targeted mitigation strategies, including enhanced monitoring, capacity building, and, where necessary, working with suppliers to improve their practices or terminating relationships with non-compliant suppliers.

Effectiveness and Continuous Improvement

We measure the effectiveness of our modern slavery prevention efforts through:

  • Regular supplier audit results and compliance rates
  • Number and nature of reported concerns and their resolution
  • Employee training completion rates and knowledge assessments
  • Feedback from stakeholders and civil society organizations

We are committed to continuous improvement and will continue to enhance our policies and procedures to strengthen our ability to prevent modern slavery in our operations and supply chains.
